Killer Cars
Many
accidents are blamed on slow moving vehicles such as tractors, lorries or
caravans on tow but there is a driver far more dangerous and I am not talking
about ‘white-van-man’ (although he is), I call him ‘second-driver’. He’s the
man in the car who follows the caravan, follows the tractor or lorry but never
overtakes. The ‘man-in-a-rush’ behind him who’s life depends on getting from
‘a’ to ‘b’ in twenty minutes not only has to overtake the lorry, he has also to
get by ‘second-driver’; he has to overtake them both at once and it takes twice
as long; a bend is coming up; they all die.
