Dangerous after Drink
We are constantly told that any amount of drink is detrimental to driving but the unwanted truth is that a small amount of alcohol can actually steady the nerves of some drivers. Motorists are such a mixed bunch that some drivers are safer on the roads after twelve pints than others who are stone cold sober. I certainly don’t believe in drink driving and do support a sensible limit. I do not want to see drunk drivers on the road but then again I wouldn’t want to see someone prosecuted while driving to work sober in the morning because of what he had drunk the night before.
If
you want to ban someone from driving why not sit them on a simulator and see
how impaired they are? Here's another unwanted truth, because someone’s
reaction have slowed twenty percent and their rationality has depreciated
because of drink, doesn’t mean that their driving is below average, they may
still be a hundred percent better than the average driver.
